| Have lived c. 500 yards from this place for over 2 years and never been in. Visited this evening after seeing it positively rated on BITE. Got a friendly hello from behind the bar as we walked in, there's a selection of interesting beers on tap, great wood panelled bar with leather sofas everywhere, and tasty food. | the venerable pt has received a makeover since my last visit and, very surprisingly, it has worked. It's a great pub. The toilets (slightly dodgy before) would now not be out of place in a posh hotel. It's not the cheapest but the wood burner and leather seating make it somewhere to go go out of your way for. will be back when I'm SW london.
