We visited on Sunday afternoon for the happy hour cocktails (we had to ask for the happy hour menu card as it wasn't offered to us). Had a very chilled afternoon on the comfy leather sofas. There seemed to be nobody under 35 in there, although there were probably a couple of dozen people inside. Only downside was that there was no ale but the Peroni Rossa was decent enough in bottles. paul_d102 - 23 Apr 2012 20:19
the bar looks good on the outside, toilets and venue were looking a bit grubby. A group of us went in at the weekend for a friends birthday and we found the staff and ambiance seriously lacking.dont think i will be going back thedoc234 - 1 Jul 2010 16:37
fab place, good prices on wine/champagne and food is fab too. nice big comfy couches, infact you wont want to go anywhere else in town once you have been here. danyork - 26 Jan 2007 14:33
Just recently opened, The Biltmore lacks any atmosphere. Very elegant interior with chandeliers and lots of glass, it's a great place to do business or start off a romantic date. Drinks and food are outrageously priced, although this will probably change over time. Clientele are 25+, but the pretentious type (dragons in manolo's huddled together discussing why their lives aren't like Sex In The City). I'd give it another year before visiting this bar. steeveeweevee - 29 Oct 2006 14:31
Very new bar, stylish and lavish interior. Built inside an old Friends Meeting Hall. Ceiling is double height, with a mezzenine seating area running around the outside. To the right as you enter there are an array of tables set-up more for dinners, to the left, space for people having a less formal drink. In the centre is a square bar area, with some seating. There is a very small but pleasant terrace, and some large sofa's in a soft seating area. They have a good choice of bottled beers, but a lesser selection on draught. The wine list is long as is the spirit list. They serve food which looks pretty good, and the menu is very readable. All in all, a very pleasant place. Its still busy with people visiting for the first time, as it is newly open, it'll be interesting to see how it develops with time. alistair_cross - 25 Jul 2006 11:52
