| I finally managed to pay a visit to the Rocket yesterday evening. I wasn't overly impressed. The interior is a bit characterless apart from a fairly nice ceiling and a few interesting old pictures of London on the walls. No real ales are on offer. As with many pubs around here, it seems to attract a transitory crowd. During our visit, there were a few London Marathon runners presumably awaiting their train home. There are better pubs in the immediate vicinity. blue_scrumpy - 23 Apr 2012 19:09 |

| What a joke...went to pubs all over London. Never been asked to leave before I could even purchase anything! EVER! Went in for an early dinner with the family (17:00) and was told "no children allowed" by the large bouncer bloke. Despite seeing another table finishing up, just paying their bill, and leave with their young one. When I inquired as to why, he simply said it was an "owners rule". Bullshit. Went across the street and spent a 100 pounds ELSEWHERE. After reading further reviews, I am glad that I did. TerryValderas - 8 Aug 2011 23:32 |
| Student hangout which is always busy in the evening making it hard to get a pint. Would avoid this one unless you're under 21 and want some cheap lager. WatchfulEye - 2 Jun 2011 16:42 |
| Went here on Tuesday 10th May. Everything was ok, just a bogstandard pub.. nothing out of the ordinary.. until my friend and I had food, then things went very wrong. The fish & chips I had was so poor I dont even know where to start.. wet, tasteless and greasy, the chips were nearly cold.. and tartare sauce sucked.. The we had pudding, waffles and ice cream.. which took 30 minutes to arrive.. with no cutlery, I went to get some and there was none, so I asked (4 times in total) for some spoons, a fork.. hell I even said Id eat it using a knife.. but they kept going off to serve other people drinks, and it took 20 minutes (i am NOT exagerating here) for someone to bring me 2 spoons, and they were digustingly slimey so were NOT clean.. I ended up eating it with my hands and making a mess as I was very angry at this point. The icecream had lumps of undefrosted ice in it which leads me to believe it had been defrosted then refrozen.. a big no no. I had a bad stomach for a day and a half after this 'meal' It was the sh*ttest meal I have EVER had .. worse than a cold pot noodle I once ate at a party and was so drunk I didnt even realise someone had put out their cigarette in it.. at least I had cutlery I will never go to this dump again..
