| Went on a warm Tuesday afternoon. This place does have a good atmosphere about it, with a decent ale selection. There was many people sitting down to enjoy a lunchtime meal, and while I didnt indulge, it spelt good First time id visited this place on my multiple visits to the city by the sea, and id happily return. | Visited on Saturday 7 April with Mrs Monk, we both had the Fuller’s HSB which although not as good as the real HSB was damned fine, I also had a pint of Pride which I haven’t tasted for a while and this was pretty good too. We both had the cod and chips, one of many fine choices on their excellent food menu. | This pub is handily located between the North Lanes and the railway station. They regularly provide good food, Fuller's ales, one or two guests and quite a range of malt whiskeys. Definitely my favourite when I'm in Brighton. malo66 - 10 Apr 2012 13:28 |
