I've been there. I like it. Yes it's a shame the large garden is smaller but that beats Charles Wells's method of dealing with this Pub. (Sack the successful landlords and put someone in who could not run a burger van then close the place down). Good luck to the present owners. I understand the menu is expanding. Long may it continue. sad - 1 May 2012 16:57
Gourmet pizzas ? Fawlty Towers ? This is NOT a village pub. Give it a miss. P.S the large child friendly garden is no more - someone's built a multi-storey fram shed there. piglet1 - 17 Apr 2012 15:33
This pub has been re-opened. I did not go in as there is a notice up telling me I can't wear a hat or a cap in there or have working clothes on. In these hard times I would have thought any customer would be welcome even if he/she were naked... seems like a way to put off customers but please do go there and make it a success. sad - 26 Jan 2012 22:42
This pub is now closed. 2010 speedygee - 12 Aug 2011 21:37
Lovely big garden you can lose your kids in plus excellent quality ales. What more can you want from a pub. If you want something of a decent percentage then go for the bottled ales and there is enough of those to keep you interesred. Mog - 31 May 2009 21:53
