Another Wetherspoons pub, ale is good enough for a visit, set in the heart of the Town center. Kez1 - 1 Mar 2012 08:18
It's not THAT bad ! I'm usually in there at least once every weekend, and the clientele isn't that bad. Can't say about the evening though. Place is reasonably tidy, beer is usually reasonable, though choice of guests is usually limited to 1 or 2. Suffers from usual Wetherspoons problems of lack of bar staff and cold food, though that seems to have improved recently. Martinsh - 30 Apr 2010 23:51
The previous review is pretty much spot on, and the blue tiling out the front makes it look like a cross between a swimming baths and a WC,6/10 fat_beer_badger - 6 May 2009 16:13
One of the crappier Weatherspoon's pubs. Food is pretty naff and the clientelle are pretty much what you'd expect to find in a cheapo Crewe boozer - chavs, grizzled pensioners, dullards with horrible snot-nosed kids running round, etc. 4eyedspy - 17 Mar 2008 09:54
Not bad Spoons pub. I opted for the Pickles ale and a traditional breakfast all of which came to less than a fiver. Service was good though one of my friends didn't get his baked beans with his breakfast. The interior decor is very modern as are the toilets though there is a gas fire in the middle of the pub. All in all I was satisfied with the experience though as I was only there in the middle of the day I can't vouch for what it's like in the evening... 7/10 wezmiester - 10 Mar 2008 21:08
